I have always loved getting photos taken of my family.
Especially when I get to see those photos, and they are real-moment, candid-style, story-telling photos – which probably means no one is actually looking at the photographer, but somehow still feels like us. I love those photos! And that’s where I shoot from when photographing my clients and their families.
I think there’s never a better backdrop than the one you can find outside, unless we’re talking about your home. I’m always looking for genuine smiles – although I’m not scared of an occasional sob-fest either – loving glances and full-on belly laughs when shooting. And I’m not above saying outrageous things to hopefully get a smile.
