The Couch

By far, this purchasing a couch was the hardest house decision for me. Although as I type that, I still haven’t picked stools for my kitchen island yet. Although I think I know which ones I’m getting…

I looked at this Article couch for months. M O N T H S. And this version, of the same couch, especially once I saw the house we bought. I may or may not have looking it up on my husband’s phone, so he would get their sponsored ad’s on his Insta. Then I asked for your opinion, told you my favorite. But that’s not the couch I bought…

This is the Article Ceni in Volcanic Gray and Walnut. If you looked at the other couch, you’ll see that it’s r e a l l y similar style. The legs are different, the fabric is different, and the seat height is different. One of the biggest reasons I chose this couch was because of the fabric. The couch I originally loved, the fabric was dry clean only (it was a linen blend) and more on the lighter end.

I have small children; small boys who love dirt. OR they’ve figured out how to be magnetic to dirt… I’m not sure which one. Either way, lighter fabrics just aren’t an option right now. And I would have totally gotten the leather sectional version, but it was a little out of the the budget. I was worried that the fabric of this couch would look busy, but a girlfriend has a similar fabric for her couch – which is beautiful – and that’s what ultimately pushed me to purchase this couch.

Guys, I love the couch! It sits a bit lower than the average couch (the seat height is 16 inches) but it’s comfortable, which is big. And most importably, I love looking at it. Hah!

Clearly this couch comes with something that wasn’t included on the description.  A perfect runway for all the little cars…

I have a few tiny spots on the walls to fill with things that will probably be green, or have warm tones – like wood! I’d love something that adds a bit more of that southwest vibe. Send suggestion my way. But what do you think?!?

Oh, and in case you were on pins and needles… I added the extra curtain panel.
